GERBERAS landscaping began its journey in the year 2020, equipped with nothing more than a simple push mower placed in the bed of a truck. Fer Guerra, driven by her passion, took her dream and transformed it into a vibrant reality; she transitioned from being a Dental Technician to becoming a skilled Landscape Designer. With her exceptional attention to detail and unwavering dedication, Fer successfully elevated GERBERAS to new heights. Today, GERBERAS stands as a comprehensive full-service landscaping company, proudly offering a diverse array of services that include: 3D Design, Landscape design, Hardscape installation, Ground Maintenance, and much more to cater to various landscaping needs.
MEET THE TEAM
Fer Guerra
Owner and founder of GERBERAS, Fer has carved out a unique niche in the landscaping industry. She started this company alongside her husband with nothing more than a simple push-mower and a resilient dream. After facing the unforeseen challenges of losing her job as a Dental Tech during the economic fallout caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, she was inspired to create something of her own. Fer's remarkable work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, unwavering perseverance, and exceptional customer service quickly resonated with customers, demonstrating her dedication and passion for her work. Initially beginning with only two clients, Fer gradually expanded her client base, gaining more customers little by little as her small company started to flourish. As the business grew, she recognized the importance of teamwork and began hiring women, as she discovered effective ways to work more efficiently. Fer can often be found working alongside different crews, ensuring that our quality standards remain high. When she is not busy with work commitments, she typically dedicates her time to working out at the gym, taking various courses to further improve GERBERAS, or enjoying precious moments with her family and friends.
Alexis Mendez
Owner and founder of GERBERAS, Alexis is an accomplished Instrument Technician and a talented professional Photographer. Alexis embarked on this entrepreneurial journey while still employed at a Landscape company, where he gained invaluable experience in ground management. During his time there, he successfully supervised the maintenance of various properties that span from quaint residential HOMEOWNERS' ASSOCIATION to extensive large-scale commercial contracts. Having been with GERBS since its very inception, Alexis has played a crucial role in its development. Driven and motivated by his partner Fer, both have worked diligently to expand and grow this company together. At one point, Alexis made the decision to step back slightly from day-to-day operations in front of GERBS, allowing Fer to take the helm while he focused on increasing sales and customer outreach for the company. Often, Alexis can be seen active in the field, engaging in sales activities as well as participating in hands-on work alongside the dedicated crews. His strong belief is that the more you give, the more you receive in return, a guiding principle that influences both his personal and professional life.
Arturo Guerra
Arturo is our dedicated Commercial Irrigation specialist. He has been a part of the GERBERAS team since 2023. His extensive experience in both commercial and residential irrigation systems has made him an invaluable member of our workforce. When he is not working on irrigation projects, Arturo enjoys expanding his knowledge and skills by taking various new courses. Additionally, he cherishes the time he spends with his family and friends, which refreshes him and enhances his overall well-being.
Angel Alonso
Angel serves as the Sales Representative of GERBS. He has demonstrated unwavering loyalty to GERBS since he joined the company in 2023. In his role, Angel is responsible for assisting Fer with essential quality control tasks, as well as actively working to bring more sales to our table. His contributions make him a crucial and valuable member of our team. While he can be a little hard to spot in the field, he is easily recognized when he is engaging in sales activities. Outside of work, Angel enjoys indulging in his passion for singing, which he finds to be a fulfilling and enjoyable pastime.
